We’re getting the Dungeons & Dragons: Tomb of Annihilation Board Game, which can be combined with all those D&D board games that came out in 2011, and we’re also getting Betrayal at Baldur’s Gate. Paul: A couple of board games came out of this announcement. Hand of Fate: Ordeals is an adventure card game for 1 to 4 players, playable. With that king laid to rest, we talked with Barantas about the cards Kallas is dealing him in life, game design background, and all those other odd 7LandHand conversation nuggets that pop up. Imagine! After a few more years of announcements they could be selling Dungeons, Dragons, Dinosaurs, Diplomats, Dinghies, Derby’s and Dancers, or DDDDDD&D. At the end of the road a most terrible foe awaits the cruel and tyrannical Royal. Rule & Make’s ‘Hand of Fate: Ordeals’, designed by Barantas, just successfully completed the ordeal of Kickstarter. Although there is a pretty substantial number of decks of cards, pieces and other bits in play, Hand of Fate: Ordeals was pretty easy to learn, especially since I have experience with deckbuilding games. The bad news is that they seem to have zero interest in renaming the brand “Dungeons, Dragons & Dinosaurs”, or DD&D. Hand of Fate: Ordeals takes deckbuilding games and mashes them into a dungeon crawler. The good news is that during last week’s “ Stream of Annihilation” where Wizards of the Coast announced a whole load of new Dungeons & Dragons products via Twitch, we found out that dinosaurs are coming to the D&D world! Quinns: Morning everybody! We’ve got good news and bad news for you.
